Purpose of the Church

  • One

To worship God in spirit and in truth, (John 4:24) glorifying Him in our daily lives and through our church.

  • Two

To foster an education for ourselves, our children, and our community guided by the Holy Spirit through God's Word, the Holy Bible. (2 Timothy 2:15, Proverbs. 22:6)

  • Three

To encourage one another, lifting each other up and bearing one another's burdens as we grow in the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 5: 11)

  • Four

To make disciples of all men including bringing non-believers to faith in Christ both locally and worldwide (Matthew 28:19), to spread God's love to our neighbors and to proclaim the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

  • Five

To seek, find and develop our individual spiritual gifts for the purpose of serving the church ministries and our corporate body of evangelical churches. (1 Corinthians 12, 13, 14)

Statement of Faith

  • We believe in God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit.
    (Matthew 28:19,John 10,13,14,16,17 and 1 Corinthians 13:14)

  • We believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16), the only way to the Father and to eternal life (John 14:6). We affirm His virgin birth (Matthew 1 :23); His life without sin, His sacrificial death and shed blood as final atonement for our sin (John 1 :29); His resurrection in the body (Matthew 28: 1-1 0); His ascension to Heaven (Mark 16: 19 and Luke 24:50-51) and His second coming with great power and glory (Matthew: 24:29-37 and Mark 13:26-27).

  • We believe that the Bible consisting of the Old and New Testaments is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God, all scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16,17 and 2 Peter 1:21).

  • We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred, not only physical death but also Spiritual death which separates man from God; that all human beings are born with a sinful nature; and those who reach moral responsibility (age of accountability) become sinners in thought, word and deed. (Genesis 1 :26-27, 3: 1-21, Jeremiah 17:9, Romans 3 :23)

  • We believe in the power of God, through the Holy Spirit, to convict us of sin (John 16:8) and to create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us (Psalm 51 :10).

  • We believe in the unity of all believers through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the Head for the Body of believers, which is His Church (1 Corinthians 12: 12-31 and Romans 12:4,5) and that Jesus Christ exercises His authority in each local church by the Holy Spirit as set forth in the Holy Scriptures.

  • We believe in the resurrection of those saved in Christ Jesus to life everlasting and the resurrection of the unsaved to damnation (2 Peter 3:7, Hebrews 6:2, 9:27).

  • We surrender our wills to God, forsaking the temptations of this world and daily walking in His ways, through the renewing of our minds through God's Holy Word and the power of His Holy Spirit (Romans 12:1,2).

  • We believe that each local church is ultimately answerable only to Jesus Christ, and not to any association, conference, council, synod or any other ecclesiastical body.

  • We believe that it is proper and beneficial for the local church to seek fellowship and counsel of other like-minded churches.

  • We believe that the Bible teaches that the covenant of Holy Matrimony is to be entered into by one man and one woman. (Matthew 19:4, 5)

  • We believe there exists a personal spirit of evil, Satan our adversary, who with great power carries an organized opposition to the Kingdom of God, and seeks the demise of man, he will suffer ultimate and total defeat at the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ.
    (Job 1:6, Luke 10:18, Romans 16:20, Revelation 20:1-10)

DOCTRINE

We believe and affirm that the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments,
is the divinely inspired Word of God, the final authority, and is trustworthy for faith and
practice.

It is to be interpreted responsibly under the guidance of the Holy Spirit within
the community of faith.

The primary purpose of the Bible is to point to and glorify Jesus
Christ, the living Lord of the Church. Furthermore, it is the supreme standard for all
human conduct and behavior.

The essentials necessary for our salvation and the basis of
how to conduct our lives are clearly revealed through it.
